1. About Price AI
Price AI ("we," "our," or "us") is a mobile application developed and operated by Price AI Inc. The app uses artificial intelligence and camera access to identify products and provide real-time price comparisons across 50+ retailers. This Privacy Policy applies to the Price AI mobile application and the website trypriceai.app.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and name.
Camera and images: When you scan a product, the image is sent to our AI provider for product identification. Images are stored in our secure cloud storage to display your scan history.
Scan history: We store the products you've scanned, the prices retrieved, and your Deal Scores so you can access them later.
Usage data: We collect information about how you use the app — screens viewed, features used, and actions taken — to improve the product.
Device information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for debugging and performance monitoring.
Attribution data: If you downloaded the app through a marketing campaign, we collect attribution data to understand which channels are effective.
3. How We Use Your Information

4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Price AI:
- Supabase — database and authentication. Your account data and scan history are stored securely on Supabase servers.
- OpenAI — AI product identification. Images you scan are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this data.
- RevenueCat — subscription management. Handles your subscription status and billing through Apple's App Store.
- PostHog — product analytics. We use PostHog to understand how users interact with the app. Data is anonymized where possible.
- AppsFlyer — marketing attribution. Helps us understand how you discovered Price AI.
- SerpAPI / Bing — price data retrieval. Product searches are sent to these services to retrieve current prices.
5. Affiliate Disclosure
Price AI participates in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates Program and eBay Partner Network. When you click a retailer link in the app and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This does not affect the prices shown or our Deal Score calculations.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data and scan history for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@trypriceai.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including row-level security on our database, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and secure cloud storage. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Price AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your Rights

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
